Amazon coming to NYC won't make any difference to tech in NYC. Maybe you'll visit LIC to pay tribute, like today with Google and FB, or they'll bring speakers in. No one will leave LIC for meetups or weird collaborations. It'll be a macro economic boost but culturally irrelevant.
