After watching an older Lenovo laptop get destroyed by Windows updates, I put Linux on a USB flash drive using Etcher, installed Ubuntu, and installed Chrome. We wiped it down with a bleach wipe, and now a kid down the hall can have a machine for school. It's little but nice.
