"Make the Most of Your Metabolism," Colette Bouchez, WebMD:
"If two people both weigh 250 pounds, and one got there by dieting down from 350 and the other one was always at 250, the one who got there by cutting calories is going to have a slower metabolism," says Yanagisawa. "That means they will require fewer calories to maintain their weight than the person who never went beyond 250 pounds."
Something to look forward to.
"Weight loss is both diet, exercise," Dr. Dierdre Faust, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel:
Keep a food diary of everything that goes into your mouth. You state that you don't eat much, but if you measure every time you take a bite of something or taste what you are making for supper, you might be surprised at how many calories you are taking in. Do this for a week just to see what your intake is, but stop after that so you don't go crazy measuring and counting calories.
What to say when family has something to say:
- First, whatever.
- Second, where did I learn this behavior?
- Third, whose genetics are these?
