My first job in New York was to do some production work for the Lucchese Boot Company. I’ve never seen a Lucchese Boot, but I’m told they’re expensive. This is a fragment of their packaging; I was adapting and blurring it, I think, so that I could process it as a mezzotint. I remember in particular sneaking around the Internet to find the latest illegal Photoshop mezzotint filters in order to get the work done.
