December 14, 2009 - Bicycle ride
Riding around the park in freezing rain and not stretching afterward, as I did yesterday, can lead to soreness. This I learned as I went to the park this morning, came up the hill, and just stopped, whoomph. No particular will to continue. I came home at half-speed and went to the sink for water. There I saw that the blue plate--the plate that held last-night's ribs--was caked with a waxy white rime of congealed fat, an eighth-inch thick. That was what I'd eaten. Forward, backward.
