November 19, 2009 - Bicycle ride
A premiere for the new Twilight film was taking place at Sunshine Cinemas on Houston. Drawn by an extraordinary burst of flashbulbs I rode by slowly and watched an impossibly thin leggy blond I didn't recognize pose for a group of screaming, rabid photographers ten feet away. The photographers were in a small pen on risers. I was really glad to have nothing to do with that whole piece of shit. The whole film industry is a side effect of the much larger cocaine and personal-fitness industries.
