November 8, 2009 - Bicycle ride
Up to Queensbridge and over the 59th St. Bridge. Then down 2nd Avenue; a stop to purchase some clothes; and then work. My waist, inchwise, should end up in the Great Depression. Towards the mid-30s. I was postwar for many, many years; now I'm at the end of WWII, working my way backwards from VJ and VE days, past D day. In a month or two, if all goes well, the annexation of Poland. And then finally the annexation of Rhineland; the opening of the Triborough Bridge (now the Robert Kennedy); and the burning of the Crystal Palace.
