September 27, 2009 - Breakfast
I am slipping. A little. I have a tendency to moan or make whimpering noises or say "goddammit, focus" when I'm reading a book or taking a shower. I don't know I'm saying these things. Just random sparks coming off the brain.
"Do you want to talk about it?" asks [Wife].
"No."
I am knee-deep in basic advanced math, in binomial coefficients and the analysis of algorithms. It is irrelevant to my larger pursuits--programmers are defunct at 30 and here I am learning about the guts of the machine at 35, at least 20 years too late. A secret language that would exist without anyone to speak it.
