August 15, 2009 - Lunch

Drinks and lunch with a friend. A Mexican place where I frequently ate in the past. Thinking about previous meals I calculated that my typical repast here was an additional 1,500 calories in quantity--thus ~3,500 in total. Add in a full bowl of chips; a tortilla or a few taco shells; a layer of cheese.

What worked in my favor: having meat with sauce instead of a more significant and varied entree.

What worked against me: the non-entrees--rice, refried beans, chips, guacamole. margaritas.

What was good: having lunch with a friend after miles upon miles of riding.
