I went with Maureen Flaherty to sign our wills today. I put it off for three years, had a huge block about it, and felt like a dummy about putting it off the whole time. In the end it took...an hour. Of course the lawyer wasn't even annoyed. He just wanted to get the documents notarized, answer questions, and move on with the day. Afterwards I made a lot of jokes about how it would be fine if the elevator collapsed, or I were hit by a falling crane, or if the train exploded. As a bonus the office had a stellar view of the harbor.
