Natalie Schulhofer writes: I don't have all-time favorites because I have, principally, a short-term memory. Here are two that've made a lasting impression on me.

And this other one. It's a letter, but to me the whole thing is a poem. Part of it was incorporated into a proper poem, but I prefer this form:
